Configure Detail / Full Page View of Catalog Item

In Design Setting Window, Click Item Detail Pane

User can easily configure design setting for catalog item page.
Detail / full view page refers to catalog item details display
section showing full view of catalog item. This page is very
important for published catalog, as viewer gets to know more
details, large graphic view and special graphic effects for
specific catalog item. Usually, catalog viewer makes up his mind
for final selection of catalog item from this page, so while
catalog building, user must be very sensitive to its target
audience's preferences and selection process.
Using Item Detail Pane in Design Setting Window,
user can configure:.

Customize Item Page Structure
Catalog Item page can be set from three available
templates:
-
Catalog Item Page with Enquiry Sheet (in this
template, catalog item's large graphic is displayed in the left
side of catalog page and on its side, catalog item's details are
displayed; additional catalog item's graphics are shown down under
; links to zoom effects, special magnified graphic view,
third graphic view of catalog item image in its actual size and
catalog viewer's response form for specific catalog item )
Default template
-
Catalog Item Page with out Enquiry Sheet (in this
template, catalog item's large graphic is displayed in the top of
catalog page and catalog item's details & additional
catalog item's graphics are shown down under and there are links
to zoom effects, special magnified graphic view and if catalog
item is resized to suit catalog item page third graphic view of
catalog item image in its actual size)- In
this template, user has option to show catalog item graphic in its
original size (as per configuration setting in the program)
or to resize so as to avoid overflow of graphic display from
standard web page.

Catalog Item on popup window like page along with
special thumbnail view of other catalog items of same collection
group for quick reference and navigation, along with respective details;
links to zoom effects, special magnified graphic view, additional
graphics of catalog item and third graphic view of catalog
item image in its actual size)
User can select the catalog item detail page view from
dropdown selection list.

How to configure display font setting for
caption and contents of catalog item
To configure font setting for content's caption and
content

click button font setting
to
select font type, font size, font effects, font color of caption /
content. Upon
clicking, program will prompt user to select font setting to be applied. From
font selection window,
user can customize its font setting.

How to configure contents
of catalog items
CatalogBuilder facilitates user to configure the
contents display along with detail view of catalog item.

User can select contents from the content section
of the pane. The following details can be selected
for display:

Catalog Item's Name
-
Catalog Item's Code (SKU)
-
Catalog Item's Price (currency setting in
configuration window will be applicable)
-
user defined (as defined in configuration window)
contents -

User can decides to remove one/more content from
catalog collection page, deselect the respective contents.

How to configure
catalog item page's background color or background graphic
User can set the catalog item page's background color or
background graphic from this section. User can customize
page color OR graphic setting in line with catalog
theme and catalog needs.

click the option of catalog item page background
color or background graphic, by clicking the option button

If background color is opted, then select back
color of collection page by clicking button browse for color
for background color
. Upon clicking, program will prompt user to
select color to be applied as web color. From
color selection window, user can
customize its color selection. (recommended
to select web safe color from color selection window)
To remove catalog item page's background color setting, click
the button remove
background color

If background graphic is opted, then select
background graphic for catalog item page by clicking button browse for background
graphic. Upon clicking, background graphic viewer window
will open, for user to select background graphic to be applied.
To remove catalog item page's background graphic setting, click the
button remove background
graphic

How to configure Catalog Item Page's title and
tool tip to appear on mouse over event for graphic on catalog
item
page

Catalog Item Page's title can be set as Collection
Group Name + Catalog Item Code, Collection group Name + Catalog
Item Name, Catalog Item Name, Catalog Item Code or user defined
title.
Select title option from drop down list. If user defined title is
opted then, user is required to fill in title in the text input
field underneath.

User can set the custom tool tip for each
large view of catalog item. Select tool tip configuration from
dropdown selection list. The selection list gives user, the
following options:

catalog item's collection group + name
-
catalog item's collection group + code
-
user defined tool tip (same
tool tip for all items) - if opted, user is required to fill
custom tool tip input box.

This tool tip helps in catalog viewer to assess
catalog item's details and also enhances search engine visibility
for web catalog.

How to configure graphic view for catalog item
for effective presentation
Catalog Building process must configure this option to suit
their industry practices and viewer's preferences. For special
graphic presentations:
-
special zoom effects (auto for all catalog item
graphics)
-
full size graphic (actual graphic size as third
view, if on catalog item page resized graphic is shown)
-
To display additional graphics (e.g. closeouts
etc) for catalog item and/or special magnifier effect graphic,
select the selection checkbox in special feature pane

For special view magnifier graphic, recommended file size is
Minimum H/W 1200 pixels. Select the option to ignore, if such file
is not provided in catalog item content window (recommended). In
the event, user has opted to include full size graphic as an
alternative display graphic, then in the absence of large file (as
prescribed above), the display may be distorted.
